The Nutcracker
-
Dancers must be available Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6th and then on all subsequent Saturdays. Dancers must attend a minimum of two weekly ballet classes. These classes must be maintained throughout the season in order to be eligible for future roles in the Nutcracker production. Summer requirements: Dancers must attend 15 classes, 8 must be in ballet.
-
Each dancer is required to purchase a ticket to our Trivia Night Fundraiser to be attended by a parent or high school-age dancer. Dancers and families should assist in the selling of tickets, the collection of ads for the program, the distribution of flyers and posters, and fundraising for the performance. This ensures that this opportunity for our dancers continues into the future.
-
Dancers are required to wear pink tights, a leotard, ballet and/or pointe shoes, and appropriate cover-ups. Hair is to be neatly pulled back into a bun. If you have been cast in the Nutcracker you have been selected for a specific reason. Please do not make changes in your appearance during the time between casting and performance. Piercings must be removed for the performance.
-
Dancers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, treating cast members, instructors, and other dancers with kindness and respect. All belongings and trash must be cleaned up before leaving rehearsals. If a dancer’s grades become a concern, they may have some or all roles revoked. Dancers are a reflection of Dimensions Dance Center and role models for other dancers.
